How to Choose an Auto Transport Company
Most people do not consider auto transport to be an essential service. After all, goes the reasoning, cars are already modes of transport. Why would you ever need to put one inside a larger vehicle and chauffeur it around like luggage?
Countless reasons, is the answer. These days, auto transport companies provide essential services for industries as diverse as moving, collecting, and racing, all plenty of revenue sources to keep this business going strong.
For individual consumers, the advantages are manifold as well. No need to drive across the country when your car can find its own way there! No matter if you are a collector or simply want to spare your vehicle the stress associated with a long drive, responsible auto transport may offer precisely the trade-off you want between price and convenience.
If you want to make a wise decision in your choice of auto transport company, it’s important to understand what distinguishes one brand from the next. Although everyone offers insurance, different companies tend to arrive at different figures for the value of your car. Some accept the Kelley Blue Book value without question, while others require considerably more paperwork to determine a value.
Needless to say, the best carriers tend to be those that accept your own upper boundary for price without a lot of questions, offering substantive insurance that gives you real peace of mind throughout the process.
Next, the question of open versus closed transport. Although in one sense questions such as these are immaterial, after all, cars are made for the outdoors but they can become more pressing when it comes to valuable or fragile vehicles. Vintage automobiles and collector’s cars tend to lose their value if they are exposed too often to the kind of punishing winds you get on the highway. Although closed auto transport companies are considerably pricier, what you get in return is a promise that the car will arrive in precisely the condition you last saw it.
Finally, you want to look for an auto transport company that keeps a tight rein on its logistics. Too many transport companies nowadays refuse to promise a certain arrival time, but elite services aren’t afraid to give you an ironclad guarantee. Depending on your needs and budget, you may want to opt for companies that keep you in the loop throughout if you want this process to go as seamlessly as possible.

What is the Benefit for Bubble Wrap By Best Choice Moving & Storage
Bubble wrap is one of today’s most popular packing materials. It provides excellent protection for shipping or storing fragile, breakable goods. And many find it fun popping its bubbles when they’re done with it.
Bubble wrap is an accidental discovery by two engineers, Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes, in 1957 that revolutionized the packaging industry. It is polyethylene resin or transparent plastic film. It uses evenly distributed air cushions, in the form of air bubbles trapped between two films of clear plastic to offer shock and vibration protection during transport. The bubbles vary in size depending on the size and fragility of the item. Generally, small bubble wrap is used for small items like electronics and glassware, while large bubble wrap is used for larger items like furniture.
This type of packaging material is inexpensive and offers several advantages. Because it provides good protection, less packing material is needed, which lowers overall costs. And since it is lightweight, its use does not raise freight charges for shippers. Bubble wrap is also reusable and recyclable. Environmentally friendly biodegradable wrap is now available on the market as well. This type of bubble wrap breaks down in a landfill and is completely absorbed into the soil.
Bubble wrap is readily available at packing supply stores and moving truck rental firms. It can also be easily purchased on the internet from suppliers with e-commerce websites. If you regularly ship items, it would be advisable to buy bubble wrap in bulk since it is cheaper in larger quantities. An excellent advantage from buying online is that you won’t need to purchase the bubble wrap in person, but have it conveniently shipped to your home or office.
Bubble wrap is an excellent, cost effective packaging material. When you have used wrap, consider re-using it if it isn’t damaged. It will further help the environment and save you money.

HOW TO USE BUBBLE WRAP SUPPLIERS TO PROTECT YOUR GOODS BY BEST CHOICE MOVING & STORAGE
When packing for your next move, many items, such as books, can be easily stuffed into cardboard boxes. More fragile items require some protection during the move. Good bubble wrap suppliers can provide you with all the packing supplies you will need to transport your belongings safely.
Bubble wrap is available at packing and shipping stores and office supply stores. Since bubble wrap is available in several sizes and varieties, talk to your bubble wrap supplier to make sure you get the right type for your moving needs.
Standard bubble wrap
Most bubble wrap suppliers will carry bubble wrap in three standard bubble sizes: 3/16 inch, 5/16 inch and ½ inch, with the sizes referring to the height of each individual bubble. All three sizes are available in rolls 12 inches or 24 inches wide and of varying lengths. Many times the roll is perforated every foot for easy tearing.
The 3/16 inch bubble wrap is generally used for wrapping individual items, such as framed photos and artwork. The 5/16 inch bubble wrap is better for layering, such as when stacking plates. The ½ inch bubble wrap is best for large objects, such as protecting the edges of a coffee table or entertainment centers, or to fill empty space in a box to prevent breakable objects from shifting.
Bubble wrap bags
Bubble wrap suppliers will also carry bubble wrap bags, perfect for protecting small but valuable individual items. These bags are good for expensive jewelry. If you have items that require bubble wrap bags, you would probably be better off moving these items yourself rather than sending them with movers.
Anti-static bubble wrap
Cardboard boxes are dusty, so anti-static bubble wrap will protect exposed computer components and sensitive electronic equipment such as DVD players, stereos and video game systems. This type of bubble wrap will repel the dust that can damage or ruin expensive electronics.
Bubble wrap suppliers are a great moving resource, not only for providing the bubble wrap but also for helping you figure out how much of each type you need. With so many common household items requiring different types of bubble wrap, the expertise of people who are familiar with moving supplies can be very helpful.

How to Safety To Move the Boxes During the Moving By Best Choice Moving & Storage
If they move infrequently, many people don’t think twice about the boxes for moving that they use. But those experienced with moving know that not just any type of box can be used. Boxes that are weak or damaged can lead to spillage of your possessions, breakage of any fragile items, and other incidents during moving. To ensure the best move, you will need to obtain the right boxes for your possession.
Boxes for moving are available for purchase from any number of moving companies and moving supply stores. A rule of thumb for packing is to limit the amount of goods packed to 50 lbs to ensure optimum handling.
For light items that are inexpensive and not breakable, there’s no reason not to use free moving boxes, though. These can be obtained from retailers like clothing stores, supermarkets, and pharmacies since they receive shipments of goods regularly. They typically throw away or recycle their boxes. But these stores would often be pleased to give them away to interested inquirers, who will save them effort of disposal. With fruit boxes obtained from supermarkets, it would be advisable to inspect them for insect infestations. Banana boxes are especially notorious for this problem.
For more specialized items, you will definitely need to use specially designed boxes. For articles of clothing that cannot be laid flat, wardrobe boxes can be used. These boxes have a metal bar to allow items to be hung with hangers. They are available in small, medium and large sizes to accommodate all wardrobe configurations. It should be kept in mind that these boxes can become heavy and take up a great deal of room.
Electronics and computers should be packed in the boxes they came in originally. If you lack those, you can substitute large, sturdy boxes and use bubble wrap, plastic grocery bags, clothing, blankets, or other padding to cushion the sensitive components.
Fragile items like mirrors, artwork, and antiques will require specially designed boxes as well. Delicate items need to be packed carefully and their boxes must be as easy to move as possible. When packing fragile items, use overly large boxes and use generous padding.
For uniquely shaped items, you can construct a box. You can cut up other boxes, assemble the pieces to match the shape of the item, and tape them together. Use many layers of tape and make sure the item is still well cushioned.
Heavy items pose their own challenges. Pack a few in small boxes with light items mixed in. Doing, this will let you move more things in a relatively larger number of containers, but without having any of them be overly heavy. It would be advisable to label boxes with mixed contents to ensure they receive proper handling.

Basic Packaging Material To Make Your Moving Effective By Best Choice Moving & Storage
When moving across town or to a new city or state, the safety of your possessions as they are being transported can be a heavy weight on your mind. During transportation, your possessions can be vulnerable. Using the right packaging material can minimize the chances of damage, though.
There are a variety of packaging materials for different items. Whether you are self-moving or you hire a moving company to pack, load, and transport your possessions, there are certain basic packaging materials that will be needed:
1. Packaging Boxes
A wide assortment of packing boxes and crates are available in different shapes and sizes. They include bulk cargo boxes, storage file boxes, storage bins, etc. They are made from a variety of materials like corrugated cardboard, plastic, and wood. It is important to use the right sized and shaped box for each of your possessions.
2. Void Fill Materials
In addition to using the correct sized and shaped box for your possessions, you will need to use void fill materials to make them completely secure. These void fill materials will prevent items from shifting within their containers and being damaged during transportation. Common void fill materials include: bubble wrap, packing papers/old newsprint, blankets, inflatable air bags, foam molds, and packing peanuts.
3. Packaging Bags
These bags are very handy for packing. They can even be more convenient than boxes. They are excellent for lightweight, non-breakable items that don’t need cushioning. They are made from plastic and cloth. When packing them, it is important that you not overload them or else they can break during handling and transport.
4. Duct Tape
A good quality tape is also essential to packaging. It features a strong adhesive. This is important so that when the tape is applied to boxes and bags, it keeps them sealed to help protect their contents from being damaged.

How to find a good moving company By Best Choice Moving & Storage
Navigating the many choices involved with moving is never easy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find reliable, responsible and affordable movers in your area. Moving companies these days tend to run the gamut from very basic two-man operations through corporate shingles that include trucks, pads and specialized equipment. Needless to say, you often get what you pay for in moving, particularly if valuables may be included in the trip. Most experts agree that insurance should be priority one in any moving project. No matter if you’re carrying Fabergé eggs or you simply want to protect a family heirloom in transit, it’s important to have some financial assurances in place long before anything gets loaded into a truck. After all, the last thing you want is for a lengthy lawsuit to tarnish the move and undermine your finances for months to come.
Depending upon your moving needs, you may want to look into what kind of equipment those professionals have available. Blankets and pads are one thing, but truly exhaustive services tend to include everything from boxes and packing peanuts through handcarts, trolleys and special bumpers to ensure the safety of valuable furniture. Get all the proper safeguards in place and you can expect a move as seamless and secure as those objects’ everyday experience.
These days, a growing number of moving companies also have facilities that cater to filling your needs for storage as well. That means depending on your timetable and how long you’ll need to switch homes, you may be able to store your possessions for weeks or even months at a time. Situations like these demand good site security and possibly climate control as well, so don’t be afraid to ask about such details when you first sign up.
The key to any successful move is responsibility, and that means being able to trust the people you’ve let into your home. Don’t be afraid to communicate with the professionals until you have found a place that’s coupled experience with integrity over many years.

How to Disassemble a Bike By Best Choice Moving & Storage
Whether for storing or shipping, disassemble a bicycle in order to reduce its overall dimension, allowing it to fit into a small space or shipping box. Bicycle shops frequently perform this task, and follow a particular method. The method not only consolidates the bicycle, but also ensures that each of the parts is safe and secure during transit (or storage) and that the bicycle can be reassembled with
- Attach a pedal wrench to the pedal spindle (between the pedal platform and the crank arm) and turn the spindle to loosen the pedal. When loosening the non-drive side pedal, turn the spindle clockwise–the pedal is reverse-threaded. Remove each pedal from bicycle and place in a plastic bag.
-
Open the quick-release skewer on the front wheel. This skewer passes through the axle, or center of the wheel and features a quick-release in place of a nut. The release is found on the non-drive side of the wheel. Once the release is open, turn the nut on the other side counterclockwise until it comes off.
- Pull the skewer free of the wheel, and remove the front wheel from the bicycle. Place the skewer in a plastic bag for safekeeping.
-
Locate the bolts at the very center of the handlebar–these bolts attach the handlebar to the handlebar stem. Using a three-millimeter Allen key (also called a hex key), turn each of the bolts counterclockwise to loosen. Remove the bolts and separate the handlebar from the stem. Place the bolts in a small plastic bag. The handlebar will still be attached to the bicycle by its brake and shifter cables. These will not need to be removed.
-
Locate the seat post collar bolt, where the seat post attaches to the bicycle frame. Using a five-millimeter Allen wrench, turn the bolt clockwise to loosen. Separate the seat post from the frame of the bicycle.
- Use twine to tie the front wheel to the non-drive side of the bicycle frame. Place the handlebars over the top of the wheel, hooking the bar ends around the wheel and frame.
-
Place a plastic bag over the top of the seat and seat post (the two are attached) to protect both. Using twine, tie the seat post to the rear wheel.

How to Disassemble a Dresser Drawer By Best Choice Moving & Storage
When the time comes for relocation, you may have concerns about how you’re going to fit everything into the moving vehicle. You can make space by taking apart items that don’t take much effort to reassemble. To begin shrinking things like armoires and dressers, you start by disassembling the drawers; when you arrive at your destination, you can put them back together in no time.
- Slide the drawer completely out of the dresser. Lay it on a carpeted floor or a soft mat, so you can work on it without damaging the parts.
-
Remove the slide bars (the bars on the side of the drawer that have wheels on them) by taking the screws out.
- Twist the retaining screws (a circular screw that locks another dow pin in place) to release the dow pins that secure the front of the drawer.
-
Pull off the front of the drawer. You may need to apply some force. Gently tap the inside of the front of the drawer with the hammer or rubber mallet until it’s loose enough to pull off.
-
Slide out the bottom of the drawer, leaving the two sides and the back.
- Remove the two sides by tapping them gently with the hammer or rubber mallet. They are secured by dow pins. Tapping the sides will loosen them, just like the ones in the front of the drawer. Once they’re loosened, pull them off.
